Everything that Jurassic Park did wrong

I love the movies, but as someone who studied animal behaviour, let's do a little breakdown:

First things first, I won't be talking about Nedry from the first movie. I'm talking specifically about animal behaviour, treatment, enclosures and symbiosis.

Second, this is for fun.

Now, onto mistake number 1!

The raptor enclosure.

It's too small. They can't run there! They can't hunt properly, and will have to fight amongst themselves for space.

Not just the raptors tho. They all have very small and wrongly created enclosures.

Second: why don't they have a on site paleontologist and zoologist to analyse the animals behaviour and health? They have a guy that worked with Hammond on a reserve in Africa. What does that guy know about dinosaurs? Why don't we have someone who can analyse the dinos and compare them to modern animals?

Third, and this one was mentioned in the movies: they're putting millions of years of evolution and instincts in a small park. Rexy isn't happy in her enclosure, or she wouldn't want to get out in the first place. Yeah. Animals don't like leaving their territories. It usually means fighting other animals for territory or losing your own.

Fourth: they really expected the animals to only eat from their feeders? We're not talking about cows here. Actually, not even cows only eat from their feeders, so cross contamination from any dangerous plant is a risk that has to be taken into consideration.

Fifth, and this is the one that bugs me the most: animals live with other animals. They share their space with other animals for symbiotic relationships. Mostly commensalism or mutualism, but they need those relationships to survive.

There are fish, birds, monkeys, even insects that help bigger animals to stay healthy. Not only they help, but it's their main source of nourishment.

Most people have seen a crocodilian with their mouth open and a bird cleaning up their teeth. But there are fish that do that to sharks and whales. There are crabs that remove mollusks and seaweed from turtles backs...

Remember the "whale wash" scene from Shark Tale? Yeah. That's real.

I mean, not like that, but it's a real thing.

There are also smaller animals that take a hike on the bigger ones for easy food and safety.

If you get one of those little guys, and remove them from near their big guys, they'll both suffer from it.

And that's what I have for you guys today, as it's nearing the time for my yearly Jurassic Park marathon.

In Jurassic World Dominion is it ever really explained how Blue asexually reproduced? Like, was it something she could always do?? Because I think that if she always could she would've done so. So this makes me believe it was caused by her getting a blood transfusion with blood sourced from Rexy and that their DNA mixing caused Blue to be able to asexually reproduce.

Thanksgiving is back. It's time to be with our families and be thankful and blessed for what we have. Our loved ones, football, and the Food! While we enjoy our feast, the Raptors are having a feast of their own. A giant turkey they hunted down, and somehow got cooked for some reason. They began tearing the bird up and serving the meat to one another. Blue tears off a drumstick for her daughter and sliced off a slab for herself. Red tears himself a drumstick and begins chomping on the meat. Beta munches happily on her drumstick, then notices a slab of turkey meat drop to the ground. Echo hurries over to pick it up with her mouth. Then, Delta ran up and slams her jaws shut on the slab. The two vicious predators glared at each other and started tugging the meat, as Beta watches on beside her mother. She continues eating. Another hand rips through the flesh and grabs two big pieces. The Big One gives one slice to Charlie, and they began sinking their teeth into the ripped poultry. They both smiled as they eat their pieces of meat. The raptors all gobbled down the gobbler, chomping and munching the tendered flesh, their faces covered in gravy from the bird. They enjoyed their little Turkey feast in the jungle. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Go spend time with your family, stuff your faces, and enjoy the games. But also remember to be thankful for everything you have in your life. Context/backstory: Jurassic world AU; The park had been long lost abandoned for over a decade now. What was once a park full of creatures of old was now the ruins to a new world. You were an experiment. A human with the qualities and characteristics of a Raptor. You had the raptor feet, legs, tail. Claws, eyes, and teeth. The task force was sent to Isla Nublar. Back to the old run down park to retrieve a weapon, but little did they know that the weapon was you.

Price: You see Price as your Alpha. The moment you two met you knew who was in control. Price. He’s the only man you will ever willingly take orders to. The only man you’re afraid of. A muzzle was a common occurrence for you. You were notorious for biting and teething anything you could get your jaws upon. Especially the task force members. Price is the most patient with you about this but this is a problem that needs to be fixed. He either muzzles you or distracts you with a bone like you would do for dogs.

“Ay!” Price pulls you away from his arm sleeve.

“What did we say about biting Y/N?” He glares at you. You immediately stop what you were doing and turn your attention to something else. “No biting ya muppet.”

Soap:

Soap was the one to break through to you. He never saw you as a weapon, you were just someone trying to survive. Find your place in the food chain. Soap always kept you calm and grounded even in times of danger or a threat to you and the others. Not even Price could calm you like Soap can. He was pretty laid back with you and let you do about whatever you wanted. He didn’t mind the nipping and teething as long as you were gentle. He was the one to help clean you after missions, including your teeth.

“Oi let’s see those pearly white’s.” Soap says as he gestures for you to open your mouth. You do as asked and he rests his hands on his hip proud of his work.

“Now there’s a smile!”

Gaz: Gaz is your trainer. Price thought it would be good practice for Gaz if he was your trainer. Perhaps he could learn a thing or two about teaching and be in Price’s shoes for once. You obeyed, but only when food was involved, otherwise Price would have to come down to motivate you to listen to Gaz. The training did well, you were a massive help on the field, but Gaz can’t help but feel bad about it all. You being a ‘weapon’ of massive destruction that he was in trusted to train. It held quite the pressure on him. He’s afraid he’ll turn you into the monster everyone thought you were.

Gaz watches you tear into one of the punching bags, he couldn’t help but picture the stuffing as intestines and flesh being tore out. He could see the cotton stuck in your teeth as blood dripping down and running off your chins

“Y/N! I think that’s enough for today…”

Ghost: You see Ghost as a beta. You sometimes take orders from him but only if you feel like it. The more irritated he gets with you and more and more you resist his commands and his attempts of control over you. You always snuck up behind him and he didn’t even need to call out to you because you were always there…He wasn’t sure what Gaz has been teaching you but the cold look in your eyes tells him that Gaz wasn’t the first to train you…You wear a head set around your head and neck so he could see out of you and see what your doing. Soap likes to call it Ghost’s “Nanny Cam.”

Price walks into the common room. “Has anyone seen Y/N? I told you all Y/N is not aloud outside unaccompanied!”

Ghost looks over to Price. “Y/N is eating Soap’s cookie stash.”

Soap jumps up wide eyed. “My cookie stash!? Ghost why didn’t you look at your nanny can sooner!?

Horrifying fic trope drinks

@velociraptors-in-hats DMed me with a story about a terrible cocktail he made from homemade violet liquor (violet candies soaked in vodka) and rosewater, which he called Death by Flowers but a friend he gave it to called Hanahaki Disease

And from there, well, we started inventing drinks.

The Omegaverse Trio - The Alpha: Sandalwood syrup, Tennessee whiskey, and beaten egg white, served in a leather glove. - The Omega: Marshmallow vodka and strawberry lube topped with milk foam. - The Beta: Half a glass of lukewarm water left on the back of the bar.

There Was Only One Bed On The Beach: Vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice, cranberry juice. Served in a Tom Collins glass with two 2" ice spheres.

The Period-Setting Lube: Olive oil in a shotglass, dropped into a stein of ale. Chug the whole thing and throw up immediately.

After, Boris and Kenji escape from the Atrociraptors and the creepy Atrociraptor Trainer women and make a run for it. They hid behind the tree around the woods, so the raptors won't find them. Kenji and Boris hold their breath so that way the raptors won't find them. But then the raptors ran back to their creepy trainer and left. Boris was shaking really badly and breathing really shakingly, and Kenji was really worried about him.

Kenji: Phew. I think we lost them.

Boris: 😰😰😰

Kenji: !?

Kenji: Boris!? Are you okay, buddy!?

Boris: ...😰

Boris didn't say anything. He was freaking out and he was scared of the Atrociraptor trainer women and it gives him nightmares and the creeps the way she look. Boris, burst into tears and started crying, and Kenji hugged him in his arms. Boris was crying onto Kenji's chest and started crying. Kenji started comforting him, he started petting Boris' head and he started to calm down for a bit.

Kenji: *hugging Boris and started petting his head*

Boris: *muffled crying and sniffing* 😢

Kenji: You feeling better, Boris?

Boris: *nodding his head, yes*

Boris looked up to Kenji, and they started blushing at each other.

Boris: *looked up to Kenji*

Boris took deep breaths and breathe out so he can get himself together. Until then, Boris and Kenji got up and they started wandering around in the woods so they find their way to get home to their cabin. Boris was still thinking about his velociraptors (Blue, Beta, and Joel) and Kenji is still thinking about his baby carnotaurus (Toro Jr.). Until then Boris spotted a light or something while him and Kenji were in the woods.

Boris: ...

Boris: ?

Kenji: ?

Kenji: What's wrong?

Boris: Kenji, look! There's some kind of light that I see there.

Boris and Kenji: 0_0

When, Boris and Kenji saw the light they walked up to it and Boris moved the leaves from the bush and they saw a nice relaxing place that has a waterfall to it.

Boris and Kenji: 0_0

Boris and Kenji: (Whoa!!!) 🙄🙄

Boris: This place is so, peaceful right now.

Kenji: ...

Boris and Kenji started to sit down and look at the waterfall together. When they were sitting quietly, Boris started to ask Kenji how him and Brooklynn broke up, before she died.

Kenji: Yeah?

Boris: So, I really need to ask you this, but. How did you and Brooklynn broke up?

Kenji: *sighs* 😔

Kenji: We were dating before and I was trying to have a good time with her, but it didn't go well for the both of us. Because, she was always glued to her phone sometimes.

Kenji: ...

Kenji: So, yeah. That's how we broke up.

Boris: Yeah. I get that, Kenji. Me and Dawn broke up too.😔 But we didn't fight though. We just work this out together. 😊

When they're still having their conversation about their exes, Brooklynn and Dawn. Boris started to feel sleepy and he was knocked out for a second. Boris, lay onto Kenji's arm and he fell asleep. Kenji, looked down at Boris while he was asleep and he started blushing at him because he thinks that he's big teddy bear to Boris. Not until then, Kenji started feeling really tired too. He lay his head onto Boris' head and he started falling asleep as well. Both of them are out.

Boris: *yawn* 🥱

Boris: *started laying onto Kenji's arm and fell asleep* 😴

Kenji: *looked down at Boris while he was asleep*

A few minutes later.

While Boris and Kenji are still asleep, Boris begin to have some bad nightmares. The nightmares are hitting so hard to Boris. Boris was panting in fear and he was freaking out about the incident that happened in Jurassic World. He woke up immediately and he was scared and it was all just a bad dream.

Boris and Kenji: 😴😴

Boris: ... 😴

Boris: *grunting* 😖

Boris: *continuing grunting* 😖

Boris: No.... please..... stop.

Boris: *panting* *panting* *panting* *heartbeating fast*

Boris: 0_0

Boris: *gasp* 😰

Boris woke up scared and confused and Kenji was fine he was still asleep. Boris started crying uncontrollably, he stands up and he picked a sharp stick and it was very pointy. Boris couldn't take this anymore after what he been through. Kenji woke up and he saw Boris doing something that he's not suppose to do. Boris raised a sharp stick and started to kill himself after what the people did to him and he blames himself for this. Kenji was shocked and scared, he ran up to Boris and he told him to stop. Boris almost trying to stab himself by the stomach and Kenji grabbed Boris' arm and told him not to do it. Kenji cares a lot about Boris he was scared as shit when he saw Boris was about to kill himself.

Boris: *stands up*

Boris: *walks and pick up a sharp stick*

Boris: *crying too hard*

Boris fell down to his knees crying so hard. Boris told Kenji the reason why he needs to kill himself, because he got attack by the Indominus Rex while saving Kenji's life, losing his friends, got into a huge argument and a fight with Kenji about working with his dad, and getting followed and chase around by the atrociraptors and the creepy atrociraptor trainer women and losing his velociraptors that he tamed. And Mugman and Cuphead being tricked by The Devil and getting rid of him. Boris thought that everything that he did was his fault. And Kenji doesn't want him to think like that.

Boris: *continues crying and fell down to his knees*

Kenji: Boris, why are you trying to kill yourself, bud. I don't wanna lose you. 😥

Boris: I'm sorry, Kenji. This all my fault! I don't know what else to do. I got attack by the Indominus Rex because I saved life because you almost got eaten. Losing some our friends because now we lost Brooklynn. And you and I got into a huge fight and an argument about you working with your dad. And when Cuphead and Mugman getting tricked by The Devil to get rid of me and Bendy. And losing our dinosaurs like Blue, Beta, or Joel. And that creepy atrociraptor lady and her raptors are attacking us. And I.... I fucked all of this up, its all because of me. And I don't want to lose you. I'm such a bad wolf.

Kenji: 😰

Boris: *crying*

Kenji: Boris. You're not gonna lose me. And you're not gonna lose our friends and the dinosaurs. And you didn't fuck everything up either. And its not your fault that did bad stuff it's probably some bad people's fault that caused all of this. And you're the best friend that I've ever met in my life. And you're not a bad wolf, you're a good friendly wolf that cares so much for everybody.

Boris: 🥹😊

Boris started smiling at Kenji. And he understands what Kenji is saying to him and he begin to blush.

Boris: Thanks, Kenji. I think that means a lot to me.

Boris stopped crying and he started hugging Kenji really tightly. They're still hugging each other and Boris needs to release his truth that he have some more feelings for Kenji but he gets nervous sometimes. But he pretty sure Kenji we'll understand.

Boris and Kenji: *hugging each other*

Boris: *look up to Kenji*

Boris: ...

Boris: Hey, Kenji?

Boris turned around to Kenji.

Boris: Wait you do?

Kenji: Yeah.

Kenji: The first time we met during camp in Jurassic World. You were just cute little wolf that I've ever met and you literally save my life from the Indominus because I almost got eaten.
